Collective Shows steps up

The upscale experience connecting top-tier buyers with exceptional swimwear and activewear brands will be staged July 22nd and 23 a Huntingtom Beach California. We spoke to Rachel Nobles, Category Manager – Swim, Resort & Accessories and Devon Ranger

Have any changes been made to the Collective Shows format this year?

This will be our biggest most dynamic show yet hosted at the luxurious Pasea Hotel & Spa. This Summer promises an unmatched brand roster with a packed schedule of events that you won’t want to miss. We are stepping up the game with enhanced onsite amenities, including complimentary daily breakfast and lunch for both brands and buyers, energizing morning fitness sessions, and our exclusive Sunset Reception – the perfect way to unwind and network after a long day of work. Our highly anticipated Runway Show will offer buyers an exclusive sneak peek at this season’s hottest trends in swim and activewear, giving buyers an edge for the upcoming season. This Summer is more than just a trade show; it’s a can’t miss opportunity to connect, discover, and elevate your business in an unforgettable setting.

Do you think the current political and economic climate could influence attendance in any way and why or why not?


DR While the current political and economic climate may create some uncertainty, it also presents a unique opportunity for businesses to adapt and thrive. In times of economic fluctuation, the need for efficient, high-impact business practices become even more crucial.  Collective Shows provides a curated, intimate, and upscale environment that allows brands and retailers to maximize their time, streamline connections, and drive meaningful business. This level of efficiency will be especially valuable if travel budgets are restricted, as attendees can achieve more in one focused setting than they might at larger, more fragmented events.  Retailers will be looking for fresh, innovative brands and products to differentiate themselves in a competitive marketplace, and Collective Shows offers the perfect platform to discover emerging trends that can give them a competitive edge. For brands, maintaining strong relationships with key buyers is critical, and Collective Shows offers a prime opportunity to solidify those ties while forging new connections that can ensure stability and growth. How many brands will be exhibiting?

We’re thrilled to showcase over 120 swim-specific brands, with a total of nearly 200 brands across both swim and active categories. While the majority of our brands focus on women’s collections, we’re also excited to feature a curated selection of men’s and kids’ brands. Attendees can expect a dynamic mix of products, from swimwear and resort wear to cutting-edge activewear, athleisure, and lifestyle pieces. Buyers can also discover a range of must-have accessories, including footwear, beach essentials, suncare products, jewelry, hats, fitness tools, yoga mats, and so much more. 


What is your expected visitor attendance?


DR We’re expecting over 500+ registered buyers at this Summer’s event! Our July show consistently attracts hundreds of qualified retailers from across the country and with our expanded hosted buyer program, we’re broadening our reach to include neighboring states with a strong focus on outdoor activities like swimming, surfing, and boating—key drivers of the thriving swimwear retail market.

What special events will you be staging?

RN Collective Shows redefines what a trade show can be. Our exclusive onsite amenities include energizing morning fitness events and gourmet catered breakfasts and lunches, ensuring a seamless and productive experience. The excitement kicks off with our opening night reception, featuring a signature cocktail, a live DJ, and a Runway Show where buyers can preview the latest swim and activewear trends. It’s an immersive, high-energy environment designed to inspire, connect, and elevate your business.


Any particular brands we should look out for?


RN Yes, here’s a sneak peek of brands you want to keep an eye on at Swim Collective:Le Club, dedicated to crafting premium resort wear for men and boys, stylish, comfortable that is now launching its first Women’s Collections a fresh perspective while staying true to our signature style. Amongst the emerging brands Andie and Playaluxe seemed to catch a lot of buyer attention at our January show, and they will be back in July. New brands to the show we are excited to see include Surf Gypsy, Pick Happy, HONEST the Label, Oceanus, and Strait The Label.  And of course, we are always excited to see what our favorite returning trendsetters will have to show, such as Kulani Kinis, Beach Riot, Bond-eye, Onia, Stone Fox, and OneOne.
