Awarded every year by the MarediModa fair, the Creative Excellence Award is presented to brands who stand out for their research, creativity, capacity for innovation, and product quality. For the 2019 edition, the prize went to the Slovenian brand Lisca, as well as the Italian lingerie, ready-to-wear, and accessories brand MC2 Saint Barth.
Lisca was presented with the prize because of its unique savoir-faire, which mixes tradition and modernity, a dynamic approach to overcoming market challenges, and a careful focus on fabric selection. But this is not all: with its #PROUDTOBEME campaign, the brand has also helped to promote a positive message of self-acceptance.
After the prize-giving ceremony, Maja Ratajc, Creative Director at Lisca, expressed that this prize is a greatly encouraging for the brand, especially as they move towards celebrating 65 years of business in 2020.
