The Best ofIntima & Swim Edit

Amid the noise of Miami Swim Week, where shows, activations and image-driven marketing increasingly dominate the conversation, some events still matter for what happens behind the collections.
From May 30 to June 1, MarediModa Miami returns inside Cabana with a clear focus: bringing fabrics, sourcing and European creative expertise back to the center of the swimwear conversation.
While much of the swim market accelerates around speed, pricing and social visibility, the exhibitors in Miami will preview their Summer 2028 textile collections to buyers from the United States, Latin America and Oceania, reinforcing how sourcing has once again become a strategic differentiator for premium brands.
This goes beyond aesthetics. Today, as traceability, material innovation, responsible production and supply-chain reliability become increasingly critical, the value of European manufacturing carries a different, and far more tangible, meaning than it did just a few years ago.
As Claudio Taiana points out, Miami also marks the first step toward October’s flagship MarediModa event in Cannes, the central meeting point of the international swim and bodywear textile calendar.
In a complex global environment, maintaining a strong presence across the American markets remains essential for European companies. And perhaps that is the most interesting signal of all: in an industry often obsessed with immediacy, the demand for quality, long-term partnerships and genuine textile expertise continues to grow.
