The Dutch family-owned group Zulk Holding B.V. takes a new step in its expansion by acquiring the brands of Adolf Riedl GmbH & Co. KG. Based in Bayreuth, the German company will see its operations maintained, within a framework that combines continuity with broader European consolidation.
Through this acquisition, Zulk Holding strengthens its portfolio with established brands such as Sunflair, Opera and Sunmarin, which will continue to operate in their domestic market. Their integration complements the group’s existing offer, led by Beachlife and Cyell, with a consistent positioning in the mid- to premium segment.
The organisation will rely on a streamlined structure, managed from Bayreuth by Bert Wermer, in close coordination with Marloes Heijmans. This model combines local expertise with centralised coordination, while fostering synergies across key functions such as sourcing, logistics and marketing.
Beyond the operational dimension, the move is also strategic. In a shifting retail landscape, the group aims to secure brands with a strong identity while optimising their international development, particularly across the DACH region. This approach aligns with the direction already established with Beachlife and Cyell, with a continued focus on fit, product quality and brand coherence.
The acquisition reflects a long-term structuring strategy, where the preservation of expertise goes hand in hand with efficiency and adaptability to evolving market dynamics.
