Before founding her boutique, Erin Yates spent several years working as a lingerie buyer in a specialized Charleston store. This immersion allowed her to gain in-depth knowledge of both the products and fitting requirements, enriched by numerous trips to Europe.
In 2020, in a personal and professional context marked by profound change, she recognized a growing demand for comfort, guidance, and closeness.
The project initially took shape remotely, through the creation of an online community and a home-based showroom, before evolving into a physical space under the name Lounge With Us .
Located on James Island, just minutes from downtown Charleston, the boutique occupies an accessible spot within a neighborhood commercial area. The location benefits from regular foot traffic and easy parking, creating a venue that welcomes both occasional visitors and loyal clients. The space covers 904 square feet and is organized in a thoughtful flow.
The entrance showcases ready-to-wear and accessories, while two fitting rooms at the back lead to “The Lounge,” a more intimate area for personalized fittings. Warmth comes from touches of color and carefully controlled lighting, creating a welcoming environment built on trust and connection.
The boutique presents its range across categories, including lingerie, homewear, shapewear, sleepwear, and ready-to-wear pieces. The clientele, mostly female, comes above all else for expert guidance in a calm, pressure-free setting, where comfort and well-being take center stage. Naturally, professional recognition followed. Just a year and a half after opening its doors, Lounge With Us was honored with the Best Newcomer prize at the Best of Intima Awards 2025, a testament to the clarity of its concept and the finesse of its execution.
We love the seamless transition from the boutique to the “The Lounge,” which creates a subtle shift in atmosphere and lends the fitting experience an intimate, soothing quality.
