Bond-eye’s first flagship store under the sun

In October 2024 the iconic Australian brand opened its first flagship store in the heart of Bondi Beach, the very place where it was born and from which it drew its name. Inspirational, it evokes feelings of summer, travel and freedom.

Located on Gould Street, the store stands in one of Sydney’s most vibrant and beloved beachside neighbourhoods surrounded by some of Australia’s best homegrown lifestyle brands. Cafes and boutiques have made this eclectic shopping precinct a magnet for locals, global travellers, and sun-seekers alike, and there couldn’t be a more fitting spot for Bond-eye’s flagship to take root. The space itself, a charming building dating back to the 1940s, blends old-school character with beachside elegance. 


Designed to reflect the brand’s elevated yet effortless coastal aesthetic, the store features minimalist interiors in soft sand-toned whites, warm ambient lighting, custom racking, and large-scale imagery from the brand’s global travel campaigns. It's a space that invites calm, curiosity, and connection. Inside, customers experience a true representation of the brand.

The space offers customers an immersive experience, showcasing Bond-eye’s authentic Crinkle swimwear alongside the new line of reversible Bare swim and Mesh ready to wear pieces. Thoughtfully curated accessories complete the beach-to-bar lifestyle story, all displayed in a fluid, color-coordinated layout. More than just a retail space, the store fuels community connection and brand storytelling. From its soft launch, celebrated with music, local refreshments, and beachside energy, to the upcoming collaborations and seasonal activations, the flagship has already become a cornerstone of bond-eye’s evolving retail and marketing strategy. 

With plans to host gifting suites and exclusive drops during key seasonal travel periods, and future flagship pop-ups in other dream destinations, Bond-eye is building a unique, flexible retail model rooted in lifestyle, movement, and joy. Most importantly, the boutique has allowed the brand to engage with its customers in an entirely new way. The face-to-face interactions, real-time feedback, and heartfelt connections have been both affirming and invaluable. “We want to create a compelling story,” says Steve Philpott “bringing the brand to the people, building something very unique and special.”
