Founded in 2014 by María Lucía Restrepo as a space dedicated to furniture and design, Aguamanil has evolved over the years into a concept store with a unique identity, one that centers on local craftsmanship and the power of meaningful connections: with the land, with femininity, and with everything that holds deeper meaning. “My goal wasn’t to open a store, it was to build a universe,” says the founder. And that is exactly what she did! A mother, entrepreneur, style curator, and strategic consultant for emerging brands, María Lucía selects every piece with a rare sensitivity. 

She champions Colombian talent through projects that blend aesthetic coherence, cultural roots, and ethical commitment. Located in El Poblado, Medellín’s hub of art, urban innovation, contemporary lifestyle, and fine dining, Aguamanil is a constantly evolving space where beachwear, resort collections, home decor, accessories, and jewelry engage in a harmonious dialogue.
All featured brands are Colombian and share a vision rooted in authenticity, inspiration, and emotional resonance, offering pieces that surprise, innovate, and connect. Set in a warm and elegantly curated space, the store’s use of natural materials, neutral tones, and tropical plants invites visitors to slow down and engage in a sensory journey of discovery, storytelling, and connection. To María Lucía, her clients are “friends of the home.” She knows their tastes, their stories, nurturing genuine relationships over time. This approach has fostered a spontaneous and loyal community, which has grown through word-of-mouth, now also reaching an international audience with the result that Aguamanil has become a key reference point in Medellín and beyond. Looking ahead, María Lucía envisions new store openings within the next five years. Her aim is to bring Aguamanil’s style, soul, warmth and human touch to the world.
