The expansion is being led by ILT Group, Oniverse’s Canadian retail partner, which is responsible for developing the group’s brands across the country. A further Intimissimi store is already planned for CF Toronto Eaton Centre in spring 2027.
The arrival of the two Italian brands marks the beginning of a broader Canadian development strategy for Oniverse. By introducing lingerie specialist Intimissimi alongside Calzedonia’s legwear and swimwear offer, the group is entering the market with two complementary retail concepts rather than a single-brand test.
For the intimate apparel sector, the move is also another sign of the continuing role of physical stores in international expansion — particularly when entering a new market where brand recognition still has to be built locally.
