From the online store in the 10th arrondissement: style and vintage in the heart of the capital
Created in 2021 by Olivia da Costa, Pleaseness made its online debut and, in 2022, then inaugurated a corner inside the Printemps-Haussmann department store. Now, with a new opening in the heart of the 10th arrondissement of Paris, Pleaseness begins a new stage. In this 25 m2 treasure chest designed with architect Monica Klink, the interior design is pop and futuristic: mirrored ceilings, caramel carpet, chrome furniture, silver curtains... The DNA of this unique place captures at first glance. Pleaseness offers a selection of jewellery, accessories, clothes and small designer objects, plus a selection of magazines, also vintage! Here, the signature or brand doesn't matter, what matters is the style. Found in secondhand markets or auction houses, the pieces are chosen one by one, with love and passion.
The search mostly ranges from the 70s to 2000, with a wide-ranging selection between Paloma Picasso and Paris Hilton or between Loulou de la Falaise and Britney Spears.
Photographer and artistic director, Olivia da Costa founded Please! magazine in 2007, a publication known for its full-color fashion coverage and irreverent tone. Whether it's her photo series or her personal style, Olivia has a true cult following for jewelry and accessories. Eager to embark on a new entrepreneurial and ethical adventure and in the wake of her passion for the unique piece, in March 2021 she started this new project, winking at the concept of the lei magazine. From Please! Magazine to Pleaseness, the step was short and... No sooner said than done! " With Pleaseness, I wanted to create a chic, whimsical and welcoming place, where I mixed everything I love, from the 80s stickers to the original designer bag or the XXL fantasy necklace: a place to explore all the elements that make up my universe for many years. And which, moreover, is good for the planet, proposing a concept of ethical and responsible shopping " explains the founder.
