Nextil Group's growth on the rise

08 October 2018

With the recent acquisition of Anna Llop Disseny, the Spanish group continues its strategic plan, which aims to create a leading textile conglomerate with a turnover of €200 million in 2020.

Nextil-Nueva Expresión Textil, formerly Dogi International Fabrics, advances its development strategy, including a plan of both organic and external growth, which aims to make it a leading industrial group in the textile sector. In addition to previously-made acquisitions (Treiss, QTT, Busmartex and Ritex), in August 2018 the Group announced the acquisition of the business unit of Anna Llop Disseny, SA, a leading international company in the development of designs and prints of elastic fabrics and accessories for high-end swimwear. As part of the operation, Anna Llop's style and operations teams have been integrated into the Nextil Group; the designs archive and the 2018, 2019 and 2020 collections, which have already been presented, are also included in the terms of the transaction.

Specializing in the production of high-value stretch knitted fabrics for the intimate, swim, sportswear and fast fashion sectors, theNextil Group's acquisition of Anna Llop Disseny has further expanded its brand portfolio, which also includes Dogi, EFA, Ritex, QTT and Treiss. As Alfredo Bru, Nextil's Chief Executive Officer, points out, "the acquisition - the first one of the group this year - reinforces our competitive positioning in the textile business units of swimwear and sportswear thanks to the leadership of Anna Llop in the sector." Founded in 1992, Anna Llop works with the leading international beachwear and athleisure brands. Combined with its high quality standards, it is Anna Llop's specialization in color that is the key to the success of its pattern collection and the differentiating element from its competitors. The new acquisition thus reinforces the verticalization strategy of Nextil Group, which generates significant operational synergies at the Masnou site, from design and production of solid color and printed fabrics to the packaging of finished garments for top world brands.

As part of an industrial plan aimed at creating a leading textile conglomerate with a turnover target of €200 million in 2020, the group's strategy for the coming months remains focused on an organic and external growth approach. With this in mind, Nextil Group is continuing to work on new acquisitions in the sectors where it already operates while also evaluating new strategic opportunities within the textile sector, aimed at further expanding its portfolio of products and services.
