Eurojersey Declares its Environmental Impact

In April 2019, Eurojerset became the first company in the textiles sector to obtain the PEF (Product Environmental Footprint) certificate, which assesses environmental impact across the entire production cycle.
With the launch of its SensitivEcoSystem program in 2007, Eurojersey became a pioneer of the sector in its ability to put across the value of sustainability, to put the environment front and center in a responsible industrial model, an attitude that has become one of the greatest assets of the company philosophy. With a fully verticalized production chain that allows total control over processes and constant monitoring of sustainability parameters, in 2019 Eurojersey reached a new milestone: with the PEF 010/19 certificate awarded by Certiquality in April 2019, it is, in fact, the first company in the textile sector to declare its environmental footprint with the PEF.
The PEF was established in 2013 by the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Union and is recommended for all European companies. Through its certification, Eurojersey has verified its environmental footprint across the entire production cycle by measuring 16 indicators, including the amount of energy consumed by production processes, carbon footprint, water footprint, ecotoxicity, eutrophication of fresh and marine waters, acidification and human toxicity. An individual environmental footprint has been measured for each of these factors acrosseach of the different Sensitive Fabrics production lines, differentiating between light and dark colors in the dyed fabrics, and analyzing the impact for each of the three printing technologies used by Eurojersey for its printed fabrics (traditional, inkjet and Ecoprint).
