As the creator of her own swimwear brand in the 1980s and with subsequent experience working in the world of international luxury brands, when Cristina Alemán decided her new project would be in retail she had all the cards in the right place. When the exclusive St. Regis Mita Resort opened on the Mexican west coast in 2009, the stars were definitely aligned! Extending over 22 acres of lush land, the resort is a heavenly hideaway where art and nature entwine, treating customers to a dream vacation they will be keen to repeat. Cristina had in mind a store which should match the soothing beauty of the location’s scenery. The result is a luxury environment in light colors, with natural light and a play on artificial lighting conveying a sense of calm and serenity. The wooden floor blends in perfectly with the surroundings, while the glass cabinets, in stylish contrast, showcase the store’s selection of jewelry. Also on display is an offer of exclusive Mexican luxury brands including hats, bags, shoes and ready-towear.
