HUG Award Gala Announces 2018 Honorees

20 September 2018

The New York-based charitable organization once again honors well-respected, high-profile individuals and companies. The Best of Intima is proud to continue supporting its reach within the industry.

The nonprofit organization Project Help Us Give (H.U.G.) has announced that it will honor lingerie industry leader Bob Vitale, President and CEO of Wacoal America, at the 63rd annual H.U.G. Award Gala taking place on November 6th, 2018, at Manhattan's prestigious 230 FIFTH ROOFTOP Penthouse. The funds raised from the evening will go to benefit Rusk Rehabilitation's pediatric programs and other children's services at Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone.

A 30-plus year veteran of the intimate apparel industry, Bob Vitale joined Wacoal in 1997 as Vice President of Sales and went on to lead the company from strength to strength. Prior to his time at Wacoal, he served as Vice President of sales for the Oscar de la Renta division of Maidenform Inc.

The French company Eurovet is also slated for an award, to be received by Marie-Laure Bellon, CEO and President of Eurovet, and Raphael Camp, CEO of Eurovet Americas.

ABOUT THE H.U.G. AWARD GALA

Founded in 1955, Project H.U.G. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization comprised of individuals who work within the intimate apparel and other industries and volunteer their time to support pediatric treatment and rehabilitation. Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine and Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone Health, for the benefit of which the majority if its monies are earmarked throughout the year.
